Office 2010 coming your Way

Office 2010 would the next version of Microsoft’s office suit and would be available in first half of 2010 according to Microsoft. Office 2010 will include lightweight versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote when it ships next year. According to Microsoft it is designed to deliver a unified experience across the PC, phone and browser.


It is said that the new features would include updated menu system, built-in screen capture tool, enhanced multimedia editing, background removal tool, stronger security features like protected document mode and author permissions.

Microsoft has also gone to war with Google by announcing a free web-based version of its Office software which would be competing in the cloud with Google's free online Docs suite which was launched three years ago. It seems that Microsoft has realized the true power of internet at last and so it is has now decided to compete Google in web arena.
